Olive Wedding Dress- Nora Hoge met William McGraw when her father purchased a flour mill in Pleasant Valley, in eastern Belmont County, Ohio, in the early 1870’s. As classmates, Nora and William became very close friends and after Nora moved with her family to Chanute, Kansas in 1879, they continued their growing relationship by frequent letter-writing for about twelve years before William was able to come to Kansas to claim his bride. The dresses were preserved by Nora’s daughter, Margaret McGraw Zerull, and then by her granddaughter, Nora Zerrul Smith, a resident of Eagle Point. Submitted, January 2007 by James C. McGraw, grandson of Nora and Wm. McGraw. Black Honeymoon Dress- Sarah Nora Hoge married Wm. McGraw February 1891 at a Quaker wedding.
